For a month, students from the Kramatorsk Center for Vocational and Technical Education participated in on-the-job training in Dnipro. First- through third-year students studying to become “Metal Structure Assemblers; Electric and Gas Welders,” as well as first-year students studying to become “Electric and Gas Welders,” took part in the practical training.

During the training, students practiced welding, honed their skills in operating equipment, and reinforced their knowledge of technical requirements and safety rules. The practical tasks were tailored to the students’ current stage of vocational training.

Given the security situation in the region, the number of participants in in-person classes varied. For those unable to attend the workshops in person, real-time online broadcasts were organized, allowing them to participate in the learning process remotely.

For first-year students, the on-the-job training provided an opportunity to become more familiar with their future profession. They visited the institution’s partner company, Fronius Ukraine, where Alexander Deinega—head of the Dnipropetrovsk branch and an international welding engineer—led a hands-on workshop. The students learned about the specialist’s professional experience and modern approaches to welding.

Hands-on training in the workshops and exposure to the company’s operations help future welders develop professional skills and better understand the demands of their chosen profession.
