On June 4, Ukraine honors the memory of the children who lost their lives as a result of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
On this day, the Toretsk City Military Administration, together with the Ruzhyn Town Council, as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” is joining the All-Ukrainian campaign “Voices of Children,” launched at the initiative of Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The campaign aims to remind us of the young Ukrainians whose voices were forever silenced by the war. The symbol of remembrance is bells hung on trees, representing the voices of children that will never be heard again. The white dove—another symbol of the campaign—represents peace, remembrance, and hope.
We urge community residents to join the campaign on June 4 by:
- observing a moment of silence to honor the memory of the children who have died;
- lighting a candle of remembrance;
- place a symbolic bell or a white dove figurine as a sign of mourning and unity.
We remember every child.
We will not forgive a single crime against the Ukrainian people.
