Human trafficking is a crime that becomes even more dangerous and covert during wartime. To help citizens protect themselves from risks and recognize danger in a timely manner, the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, in collaboration with the International Charitable Foundation “Caritas Ukraine,” has prepared an updated informational brochure titled “Your Rights—Your Protection: Assistance for Victims of Human Trafficking.”
What’s inside the brochure?
- Concepts and forms: how to recognize human trafficking, labor exploitation, sexual exploitation, or other forms of exploitation.
- Types of assistance: what medical, psychological, legal, and material support a victim can receive.
- Action Plan: Step-by-step instructions on how to obtain official status as a victim of human trafficking and where to turn for protection.
Why is this important?
Many people who find themselves in exploitative situations do not even realize they have become victims of a crime, or do not know where to seek help. These materials will help you assess the risks in a timely manner and regain control over your own life.
You can view and download the brochure as a PDF file.
