Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs hosted the All-Ukrainian Wrestling Festival “DonDUVS—Indomitable in the Ring,” which brought together 109 participants from 14 teams. The athletes competed in over 100 matches on two mats.
Children, students, cadets, and internally displaced persons from the Kirovohrad, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions took part in the competition.
Ruslan Vradiy, vice rector of DonDUVS, opened the festival on behalf of the university’s rector. Andriy Shchetina, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, and Vyacheslav Gursky, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council, also addressed the athletes.
Among the guests were the directors of the regional “Sport for All” public health centers: Serhiy Golovchenko from Donetsk Oblast and Dmytro Yanchuk from Kirovohrad Oblast.
A team of judges led by international-level judge Olga Gusak oversaw the competition.
The winners and prize recipients received medals and certificates, and the winners also received memberships to the city’s sports club. The top athletes and judges were honored with trophies from the “Sport for All” centers in the Kirovohrad and Donetsk regions.
