Every year, from November 25 to December 10, the All-Ukrainian campaign "16 Days Against Violence" is held to draw attention to the problems of overcoming domestic violence, child abuse, combating human trafficking, and protecting women's rights.
As part of the campaign, humanitarian hubs/centers established for residents of Donetsk Oblast in safe regions of Ukraine organize and conduct events in which visitors actively participate.
Round tables on "Interagency cooperation on preventing and combating violence" and "A safe future, together against violence" were held to discuss and coordinate the efforts of various state and non-state institutions to effectively combat violence in society.
Thematic information exhibitions "Your Path to Health," "Stop Violence," and "16 Days Against Violence" drew attention to this still-relevant issue and reminded people that timely information and a responsible attitude toward oneself help to preserve health and life.
Thematic educational events such as "I Have the Right to Safety" and "How to Protect Yourself from Violence," as well as training sessions aimed at fostering a culture of safety, mutual respect, and support, became a place to discuss the importance of protecting rights and a safe environment and to obtain practical tools necessary to protect oneself and others.
The educational and commemorative campaign "We Are Against AIDS," "November 25—A Day Without Silence," "AIDS Is Not a Death Sentence. Thirst for Life," educational lectures, and quizzes raised awareness about HIV/AIDS issues and reminded participants that the fight against this disease is not only about medicine, but also about humanity, compassion, and mutual support.
During discussions, lectures, and meetings, participants received booklets, useful tips on how to recognize different forms of violence, information about services and organizations that provide support to victims, and had the opportunity to talk to experts.
Let's overcome difficulties together for a better future!
Together, we are creating a safe country where there is no place for violence.
