A space for the Lyman community — a place for support and interaction — is opening in Kremenchuk, Poltava region. This was announced to displaced persons from the Lyman region who are temporarily residing in Kremenchuk during a meeting with representatives of the Lyman City Military Administration.

The opening of the space was made possible through cooperation between the Lyman and Kremenchuk communities as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities."

In the near future, the hub plans to bring in specialists from various fields to help Liman residents adapt to their new community by assisting with paperwork, integration, education, healthcare, social protection, meeting basic needs, and strengthening social cohesion.

The meeting also provided information on the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at strengthening the resilience of the Lyman community, which has suffered as a result of armed aggression. It will be a space for care, support, and communication.

Participants were informed about the services available in the field of social protection, as well as the types of assistance available to internally displaced persons, war veterans, and their families.

Separately, they talked about the administrative services that will be available directly at the place of residence.

They also outlined the areas of educational, upbringing, and, in the future, sports activities that are planned for students and pupils in the community's educational and youth space.

During the meeting, it was announced that a survey would be conducted among community residents to identify current needs and the main areas of work for social services.

Those present actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, expressed their wishes, and shared their problems. While the adults were talking, the children had the opportunity to play board games and make crafts for their mothers.
