On March 14, a specialized training session on providing first aid was held for young people from the Donetsk region who have relocated to Kryvyi Rih. The event was organized by the Department of Family, Youth, and Public Events for National and Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration, in collaboration with the Staromlynivska Community and the Kryvyi Rih Youth Center.
The goal of the training was to teach practical skills that can save lives in wartime and emergency situations. Representatives of the Rotaract Club “Kryvyi Rih-Kyiv-Capital” provided basic knowledge on first aid during the training, including:
- how to assess the condition of the injured person;
- how to stop bleeding and properly apply a tourniquet;
- how to act before medical personnel arrive;
- how to stay calm and help others in stressful situations.
The training was conducted in the most practical format possible: working with mannequins, practicing procedures in pairs, and analyzing real-life scenarios that could occur during shelling, accidents, or household injuries. The knowledge gained during the event will be useful not only to the participants but also to their families, neighbors, and acquaintances.
Cooperation between communities has become a shining example of interregional support in wartime. Such initiatives prove that even in difficult times, young people do not merely survive—they learn, grow, and become stronger. Knowledge of first aid is one of the most powerful tools for self-defense and mutual aid today.
