The Federation of Greek Communities of Ukraine and Mariupol State University will host a dialogue meeting in Kyiv titled “Traditions of the Greeks of Ukraine: A Unifying Heritage.”
The dialogue will take place on July 13, 2026, in Kyiv at the Ukraine Crisis Media Center.
The meeting will focus on:
🔷 preserving the traditions and intangible cultural heritage of the Greeks of Ukraine amid the war;
🔷 the “Panayir” tradition as an important element of cultural heritage and a symbol of community unity;
🔷 the historical memory of national communities as a component of national security;
🔷 cultural heritage as an effective tool for international cultural diplomacy and for shaping a positive image of Ukraine in the world.
Today, culture is not only the foundation of national identity but also a powerful tool for international communication. It is precisely through the heritage of its peoples that Ukraine demonstrates to the world its diversity, resilience, and affiliation with European civilization.
