As part of the “Peak of the Unconquered: Chasiv Yar—Yasinya” project, veterans from the Chasiv Yar and Yasinya communities came together to play a friendly soccer match.

The field had it all: excitement, cheering, jokes, emotions, and, of course, the desire to win.  But most importantly, there were no losers that day. Because the real victory is the opportunity to meet, chat, laugh together, and simply spend time with people who understand you without needing to say a word.

Those who didn’t take the field didn’t stay on the sidelines either—they gathered to play dominoes. And the excitement there was just as intense!

After soccer and dominoes, the veterans decided to continue the sports day with a game of bocce. It might seem like they had little energy left, but the desire to be together overcame their fatigue.

Over lunch, everyone shared their impressions, recalled the most memorable moments of the past few days, joked around, and made new plans. And perhaps the best thing about this getaway was this: no one wanted to leave.

Because over these days, Yasinya became a place for gathering, rejuvenation, new friendships, and heartfelt conversation. New friends were made here, camaraderie was strengthened, and a sense emerged that we truly are one team.

The Chasovoyarsk City Military Administration sincerely thanks the Yasinya community and its leadership for their hospitality, support, care, and wonderful conditions for our veterans’ rest.

All activities were carried out as part of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project. Together, we are stronger. Together—we are unbroken. Together—onward to victory!
