From March 21 to 25, 2026, the final round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Information Technology was held in Ternopil at the Volodymyr Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University. The Olympiad brought together 140 talented students from across the country, who demonstrated their ability to create digital solutions and work with the latest technologies.
The team from Donetsk Oblast demonstrated a high level of preparation and won top prizes. Yegor Bachurin, an 11th-grade student at the Lyceum with a Gymnasium Division No. 1 of the Pokrovsk City Council, won first place.
Daniil Subbotin, a 10th-grade student at the Mirnograd City Council’s General Secondary Education Base School, took third place. Tetyana Tkachenko, an 11th-grade student at the “Academic” General Secondary Education Base School of the Kramatorsk City Council, and Diana Fedorova, an 8th-grade student at Lyceum No. 2 of the Pokrovsk City Council, also represented the region with distinction in the finals.
In addition to intense intellectual competitions, the event’s program included meaningful leisure activities and an opportunity to explore Ternopil. Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences with their peers, make new friends, and visit the city’s landmarks.
The success of our students is the result of the systematic work of teachers, the perseverance of the participants themselves, and the support of parents, which together form the strong intellectual potential of the Donetsk region.
