In wartime, protecting critical energy infrastructure remains one of the region's top security priorities. The enemy continues its systematic attacks on the energy sector in an attempt to leave people without electricity, heating, and other essential services. That is why it is crucial to act proactively and ensure that critical infrastructure is protected to the greatest extent possible.

During the meeting, participants discussed the current progress of protective measures, existing challenges, and the next steps to strengthen the region's energy resilience.

"I emphasized that there can be no room for a formal approach, delays, or shifting responsibility in matters of this importance. Every person responsible must clearly understand their area of responsibility and the results that people expect.

I also called on law enforcement agencies to pay special attention to preventing any misconduct or abuse by contracting organizations.

The autumn and winter season lies ahead. In Donetsk Region, it will require even greater unity, coordination, and discipline.

Following the meeting, we agreed on the next steps. We will continue working to ensure that the region's energy system can withstand these challenges and that people continue to receive essential services even under the most difficult conditions," Vadym Filashkin said.
