The Head of Donetsk region, together with his Cherkasy counterpart Ihor Taburets and Head of the Lyman City Military Administration Oleksandr Zhuravlov, visited the Support Center for internally displaced persons from the Lyman community in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi.
“What has been created here is the result of genuine partnership. I thank the Cherkasy region, Ihor Taburets, and the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi community for supporting the people of Donetsk region who were forced to leave their homes.
Thanks to the ‘Side by Side: United Communities’ project, the Lyman community found here not only sympathy, but also a reliable ally and a place where our people can receive assistance, consultations, humanitarian support, and simply feel that they have not been forgotten.
Today, more than 1,100 displaced persons receive support through this center. Lawyers and specialists work here to help people solve everyday problems, and some families have been provided with accommodation.
I also familiarized myself with the work of the ‘Meblibud’ enterprise relocated from Pokrovsk. Despite the war, businesses from Donetsk region continue operating, preserving jobs, and supporting the economy,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
