The main topic was strengthening security in Ukrainian cities and communities and practical solutions in the field of civil protection.
During the meeting, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov presented the “Kharkiv Security Standard” initiative—an approach developed by the city to protect people and infrastructure amid the constant threat of Russian attacks.
For frontline regions, such solutions are of particular practical importance. We must learn from each other’s experiences and implement approaches that help better protect people, respond more quickly to the consequences of attacks, and improve communities’ preparedness for emergencies.
“I would like to thank the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for their attention to community safety and for working together on the solutions that the regions need today,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
