The third meeting of the Working Group on the operation of municipal enterprises in frontline and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine was held under the chairmanship of Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
Participants discussed how municipal enterprises of communities are currently operating, including those partly located in temporarily occupied territories. They reviewed the results of inspections of their financial activities for 2022–2025 and outlined further steps.
Special attention was given to the work of hospitals and medical institutions that were forced to relocate from occupied territories. The meeting also addressed the possible optimization of the structure of military administrations and the merger of certain municipal enterprises, if this would improve efficiency.
They also discussed legal mechanisms for closing enterprises that are no longer able to function, as well as auditing and managing their property.
“I thanked our colleagues from Luhansk region for supporting Donetsk region and for the assistance provided to support the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In the difficult conditions of wartime, such interregional cooperation is extremely important — it enables communities to respond more quickly to challenges, eliminate the consequences of shelling, and ensure residents’ basic needs.
Our main task is to do everything possible to ensure that people continue to receive medical services and that the region’s healthcare system remains stable even during the war,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
