Today, Kyiv hosted the largest gathering of Donetsk region’s active and talented youth since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The regional event, “Outpost of the Eastern Front: Talent. Intellect. Creativity,” was held on the eve of Ukraine’s Constitution Day.

The event brought together outstanding graduates who completed their studies with honors and became winners of national Olympiads, competitions, and academic tournaments, members of the Regional Youth Congress and local youth councils, service members, as well as children of Ukraine’s defenders, veterans, fallen heroes, prisoners of war, and missing defenders.

Vadym Filashkin presented commemorative Donetsk Regional State Administration coins to the region’s best graduates — young people who make the entire Donetsk region proud.

“It was especially meaningful that our young people were joined today by those whose support makes it possible to develop education and youth policy, support our young people, and preserve the identity of Donetsk region. I sincerely thank Deputy Head of the Office of the President Olena Kovalska, Presidential Commissioner for the President’s Foundation for Education, Science and Sports Olha Budnyk, Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Serhii Tymofieiev, and Ukrainian TV host, blogger, and volunteer Denys Khrystov. Thank you to everyone who supports our children and helps them feel that they are not alone.

I am also grateful to everyone who inspired us today and gave us faith and powerful positive energy: Taras Topolia and the band Antytila, Artem Kotenko, Anna Dobrydnieva, MUAYAD, and Nikos. Special thanks to the event’s hosts, TV presenters Liudmyla Barbir and Ruslan Senichkin,” Vadym Filashkin said.

As a token of appreciation to everyone who helped create a memorable celebration for the children, Vadym Filashkin presented Donetsk Regional State Administration awards, including the Badge of Honor and commemorative coins.

During the event, the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration also received a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, presented by Oksen Lisovyi.

The event was also attended by service members of Ukraine’s Defense Forces representing the Azov Brigade, the Liut Brigade, the Special Operations Forces, and the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Vadym Filashkin thanked the defenders for joining the event, emphasizing that they are true examples of courage and resilience for the younger generation.

“Our young people are not just our future. They are our strength, our pride, and our hope. We will continue doing everything possible to ensure they can study, grow, develop their talents, and one day return home—to a peaceful, strong, and rebuilt Donetsk region.

Special thanks to the service members of the Azov Brigade, the Liut Brigade, the Special Operations Forces, and the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade for joining our event. You are a true example of courage and strength for our youth,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
