Police officers continue to rescue people from the frontline city. The situation in Druzhkivka remains difficult and is becoming more tense with each passing day. The number of people wanting to leave is growing.

The scene in the courtyards of high-rise buildings is horrifying: destroyed facades, shattered windows and doors. The streets and trees are tangled with fiber-optic cables from enemy drones.  The city has no gas, electricity, or water. People are forced to cook their meals over open fires right outside their apartment buildings.

“It’s very scary—everything is exploding, buildings are on fire, and dead bodies are lying in the streets. One man was walking past a drone—it exploded, tore him apart, and he’s lying there dead… It’s terrifying. Everything around us is on fire,” say local residents about life in this frontline city.

During their latest mission, law enforcement officers responded to four locations. Among those they helped escape the line of fire were an elderly woman with limited mobility—a local resident whose home had withstood four enemy strikes—and an elderly couple who were waiting to leave right on the road. Their home had been destroyed by Russian shells, so they decided to evacuate.

The “White Angels” handed all evacuees over to volunteers who will help them reach safer regions of Ukraine.

The Donetsk Regional Police once again urge residents: do not wait for a critical moment—evacuate and save your lives.
