About 277 thousand residents remain in the territory of the Donetsk region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. Among them are 20,953 children.
The progress of evacuation in the Donetsk region was discussed during a traditional briefing at the regional state administration with the participation of representatives from the department of civil protection, mobilization and defense work, the children's service, and the department of social protection of the population.
In the territory of 17 communities recognized as an area of active hostilities, about 26 thousand residents live, including 175 children.
In the past week, more than 900 residents of Donetsk region were evacuated or left on their own. This was reported by Dmytro Petlin, head of the operational duty service, communication, notification, and informing the population.
In the territory of active hostilities, 169 children remain in the Lyman community, 5 children in the Toretsk community, and 1 child in the Komar community. This was added by Yulia Ryzhakova, acting head of the children's service.
In the territories of populated areas where forced evacuation of families with children is ongoing, 300 minors remain.
In the village of Novoselivka in the Lyman community, 6 children remain, in the village of Matyashove in the Kryvorizh community – 1 child. In the populated areas of the Dobropillia community – 92 children, in the Druzhkivka community – 201 children.
In the past week, 74 children were evacuated from those populated areas where forced evacuation of families with children is taking place.
From the Shakhiv community, 20 children were evacuated, from Dobropillia 6 children, from Druzhkivka 48 children.
Free accommodation for people who volunteered for evacuation to safer regions and need free housing continues. In the past week, 36 people were accommodated, including 13 children in Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Lviv regions, and in the shelter of the organization "Save Ukraine".
Dmytro Petlin, head of the social services department of the social protection department, noted that free accommodation is provided to everyone who requests such assistance. The nearest trip will take people to Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Chernivtsi regions for accommodation.
All who seek help are taken to the transit point in Pavlohrad, and then transported to temporary residence places, all free of charge.
Since the beginning of the year, 742 people who needed it have been accommodated for free. Among them were 167 people with limited mobility and 123 children.
In total, from 50 to 100 people visit the transit point in Pavlohrad daily, many of whom leave on their own, but in Pavlohrad they have the opportunity to receive humanitarian aid and apply for payments from international organizations. Currently, there are 10 people without documents at the transit point. The charity fund "Skhid SOS" helps to restore documents, and as soon as everything is ready, people will be taken and settled in temporary residence places for IDPs.
