Soldier Kyrylo Peterson was killed on November 25, 2024, near Novoyehorivka in the Luhansk region while performing a combat mission. He was 27 years old.
He was born in Sloviansk. He graduated from Secondary School No. 8 and the Dnipro Polytechnic College (majoring as a technician in the operation and maintenance of equipment for the chemical and oil refining industries). Later, he obtained another degree at the Bakhmut Institute of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy, specializing in electrical power engineering.
Kyrylo worked in the Czech Republic and Poland, and in Sloviansk — at a confectionery enterprise, where he could fully express his passion for cooking.
After the full-scale invasion began, he moved with his family to Dnipro, where he worked in a wine retail network. In July 2024, he was mobilized; after completing training, he served as a grenadier in the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.
“Kind, honest, compassionate, and fair,” — his mother, Tetiana, recalls.
He was buried in his hometown. Kyrylo is survived by his mother and elder brother, who also serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At 9:00 a.m. — Nationwide moment of silence.
