Despite having been relocated, the Toretsk Vocational Lyceum continues to provide a comprehensive educational program, offering students opportunities to develop their professional skills through hands-on experience. Currently, the lyceum’s students are temporarily living and studying at a partner institution in the Kirovohrad region.
As part of their in-person vocational training, students studying to become “Plasterers” have joined efforts under the guidance of master craftsmen to prepare classrooms for the fall and winter seasons. During practical sessions, future specialists perform a range of tasks in line with their qualifications: they inspect the condition of window and door openings, seal gaps, perform plastering work, repair floor joints, and caulk windows.
These activities constitute a comprehensive hands-on training experience, during which the students apply their professional knowledge, work with tools and materials, adhere to occupational safety requirements, and learn to take responsibility for the results. In addition, while performing repair and restoration work, students gain practical experience in the principles of energy efficiency, aimed at reducing heat loss and promoting the rational use of energy resources.
An important component of the project is the inclusion of students with special educational needs in practical training. The in-person format allows them to develop professional skills, independence, communication skills, and experience in teamwork in accordance with their individual abilities.
